ESG, SRI & Impact: Navigating Sustainability for Advisers
Advisers are facing increasing complexity in sustainable investing, with greater scrutiny around ESG, ongoing regulatory developments, and growing client demand for clearer evidence of real-world outcomes.
In this session, ebi’s Jonathan Simpson and Tom Ranft will explore the sustainability spectrum—from ESG and SRI through to impact investing—and outline how these approaches differ, how they can be implemented within portfolios, and how they can be communicated to clients with confidence.
Learning objectives:
1. Describe the key differences between ESG, SRI and impact investing, and recognise how the sustainable investment landscape is evolving.
2. Explain how different sustainable metrics can be used to demonstrate alignment with clients’ investment philosophies.
3. Demonstrate how to communicate sustainable investment performance to clients in a clear, fair and balanced way.
4. Identify the characteristics and themes of ebi’s Impact portfolios, and understand how real-world outcomes are measured and assessed.
