ebi is an award winning technology-based discretionary fund manager that runs evidence based, passive investment portfolios on behalf of financial advisers. We have been working with financial advisers from around the country since 2010, having grown to now manage nearly £4 billion in assets from over 12,000 investors.

We’re growing our development team and looking for a dedicated QA Test Analyst to increase the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. Our tech stack is mostly C# .NET with MS SQL and custom JS frontends.

The Role

As a QA Test Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and executing manual tests to ensure our investment tools, client dashboards, and internal applications meet the highest standards. You will create processes to ensure consistent, repeatable testing practices and help improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll work closely with the product manager, developers, and the wider business to uphold our quality-first culture and help us ship robust, scalable solutions to financial advisers and their clients.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate closely with developers and product manager to understand product requirements and user stories.

• Design, write, and execute test scripts/cases for web and backend services.

• Perform regression, integration, performance, and security testing.

• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily huddles, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.

• Help establish and improve QA processes and standards across the development team.

Skills you’ll have

• 3+ years of QA experience in a software development environment.

• Experience writing and executing manual test cases.

• Familiarity with tools such as DevOps.

• Understanding of APIs and backend testing.

• Strong problem-solving communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Experience working in agile/scrum teams.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in finance industry or with finance software systems.

• Familiarity with test automation.

• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Swagger.

• Experience developing and maintain automated test scripts using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium).

• ISTQB or similar QA certification.

• Computer Science or related degree.
